This year’s Golden Boot is happening on Remembrance Day 11 November at the Narrandera Sportsground.

It will be another huge day of touch football, beers, laughs and fundraising for two very important causes.

This year, Golden Boot will be held in memory of Detective Sergeant Troy Burchell, who tragically passed away earlier this year, while also raising much-needed funds for Senior Constable Mark Patterson, who has been diagnosed with neuroendocrine carcinoma and is currently undergoing treatment and the family of Det Sgt Troy Burchell who recently passed away following a cancer battle.

Prior to the Golden Boot activities will kick off from 5.30pm on Tuesday 10 November at the Charles Sturt Hotel, Narrandera, with live music, cold beers and plenty of Golden Boot vibes.

Charles Sturt Hotel has once again got behind the Golden Boot as a sponsor and supporter.

Golden Boot games will kick off early on Wednesday, with a coffee van at the field to keep everyone fuelled throughout the day.

The games will pause at the eleventh hour for a minute of silence to honour the service and sacrifice of military personnel.

Once the football wraps up, participants will head back to the clubhouse for the Golden Boot function and auction.

Dressing up is mandatory and organisers want to see some seriously questionable costumes this year.

Each team must bring an item to auction off, big or small. An updated auction list will be released in the lead-up to the event, with plenty of great items up for grabs.

At least 80 per cent of a team must be from the PAC/PD/Sector/Station/Squad under which they register. There are some exceptions to this such as teams and players who have had a long, demonstrated association with the Golden Boot and/or a particular team. 

This year team numbers will be capped at 25.

A condition of registration is to supply an item suitable for raffle/auction.
