Narrandera Security Services has won the contract for the provision of patrol/security services for the Narrandera Shire Council at a cost of $227,545.45 over a three year period with the option of a further three years.

The current security service contract term is scheduled to conclude on 31 August.

Council undertook an open tender process) for provision of these services, receiving seven submissions.

After initial compliance screening, only two tenders progressed to detailed evaluation against cost, capability, experience, track record, benefit to local community and compliance with specifications.

Narrandera Security Services achieved the highest weighted score (3.85) and was identified as the preferred tenderer, offering value for money through competitive pricing, track record, ability to deliver services and demonstrated experience.

The company will provide security services, including alarm responses and patrols of various location and buildings within the Narrandera Shire Council including nightly security patrols of various council premises, alarm responses to investigate security breaches or unlocked doors or locks to the after hours contact.

They will also report incidences to the council and, where a potential criminal act has been undertaken, the incident will be reported to police..

• North Narrandera Park

• Emergency Operations Centre

• Parkside Museum

• Arts Centre.

The seven applicants received were (in alphabetical order): Australia Security Force, Icon Security Services Pty Ltd, MBN Facilities Management Services, Narrandera Security Services, Pinnacles Protection Pty Ltd, Scscorp Pty Ltd and Secure Security.

Narrandera Security Services was the highest score with 3.85. The business scored well across all areas and offered the following:
