Narrandera Eagles’ superstars Emmett Smith and Zara Donaldson were recognised at the South West Junior Football League Presentation at the weekend.

Emmett Smith won the Under 16s Football best and fairest and Zara Donaldson the Junior Netball Umpire of the Year.

The Under 16’s Emmett Smith gave a Best on Ground performance in Round 14 which secured a narrow one vote lead.

Runners-up in the Under 16’s Best and Fairest were Andrew Fattore from Coleambally Football Netball Club and Wesley Wate from Leeton Whitton Football Netball Club Junior and Senior.

Despite her young age, Zara Donaldson regularly officiates at junior and senior matches with confidence and maturity, while continually working to improve her skills.

Her achievement of a National C Badge and selection to umpire South West Junior Football Netball League finals highlights the high standard of her performances and the respect she has earned across the competition.

Her positive attitude, leadership and passion for the game made her a highly deserving recipient of this award.
