Calling all local clubs, community groups and not-for-profits: Riverina Water’s 2026/27 Grants Program is on its way, with $100,000 up for grabs to help bring local ideas to life.
The announcement comes during Local Government Week, a time for councils and their partner organisations across NSW to celebrate the role they play in local communities.
For Riverina Water, that role goes well beyond the tap.
“Local Government Week is a great reminder of just how connected councils and organisations like ours are to the communities we serve,” Riverina Water CEO Andrew Crakanthorp said.
“At Riverina Water, we’re committed to doing more than supplying safe, reliable water every day. Our grants program is one of the ways we invest directly in our region’s future, and we love seeing the ideas our communities bring to us each year.
Applications for the annual program will open on Monday 31 August. You can apply for funding in $5000 increments up to the maximum for your local government area’s grant allocation - $40,000 for Wagga Wagga City Council and $20,000 each for Lockhart Shire, Federation and Greater Hume councils.
Riverina Water chairperson Cr Gail Driscoll said the program continued to demonstrate the organisation’s commitment to the communities it serves.
