The South West Youth Girls AFL competition under 16s wrapped up last Sunday with Round 3 and the grand final played on the same day.

Over the three rounds, the Narrandera girls won five out of eight games and made it into the grand final but unfortunately did not get the win, eventually going down to the Northern Jets.

The girls showed immense grit, determination and sportsmanship and with all their hard work, showed amazing improvement throughout the competition so the future of women’s footy looks very bright for Narrandera.

A special shout-out to Christian Davis for umpiring all games and to Hayden Hutchins for doing the goal umpire duties.

Coaches Adam Davis and Ian Donaldson were extremely proud of the girls’ efforts and the support they showed throughout training and games.
