It was a great day out for the Narrandera women’s golf tournament last week. The course was in fabulous condition, the greens were terrific and the food was delicious.

Visitors prize winners were Joanne Dean and daughter in law Tess Dean from Finley. This prize was in honour of the late well known golfer and dear friend Rosemary Orr, who loved to invite everyone to play at Narrandera and always warmly welcomed visitors. Rosemary’s cheeky grin was missed by all on Thursday.

Winners on the day were:

• Glenda Whitby and Ashlee Hayllar from Narrandera.

• Runners-up Kym Stein and Lorraine Colpo from Griffith.

• Third place Judy Heckendorf and Wendy Powell from Narrandera.

Fifty-four players came from far and wide to play. Coleambally, Griffith, Leeton, Weethalle, Howlong, Wagga City, Wagga Country, Ganmain, Coolamon, Finley, Kembla Grange and Narrandera.
