Narrandera Fisheries Centre is offering a free four-hour kids fishing workshop including sessions on how to rig up a rod, knot tying, fishing safety, correct casting techniques and a practical fishing session.

It will also include some great tips on fishing responsibly, correct catch and release techniques and offer a chance to hear from experts about all things fishing to get started fishing.

All equipment is supplied on the day and each participant will take home a rod/reel and goodie bag.

Bookings are essential as places are limited.

Each child participating must have a responsible adult in attendance to assist with practical fishing (minimum one parent per family group).

The age group is eight to 14 years old.

DPIRD fishing workshops are run with the assistance of Fishcare volunteers supported with funds from the Recreational Fishing Trusts.
