Two members of Coolamon Shire Council’s senior management team who have meant a great deal to council and to the community are leaving.
After 25 years of service, Tony Kelly will retire as executive manager, engineering and technical services in July 2026.
As the shire engineer, Tony’s quiet confidence, deep technical knowledge and steady presence have been a constant and his commitment to delivering high quality projects on time and within budget has been greatly appreciated during his years of service to the Coolamon Shire.
Colby Farmer, council’s executive manager, development and environmental services, will be leaving council on 1 March after almost 10 years, to pursue a new career path. His energy and skill navigating planning challenges have helped shape the shire as it grows.
Coolamon mayor Dave McCann thanked Tony and Colby for their service, wishing them well for what comes next.
Recruitment to fill these important roles and ways to celebrate their contributions will take place soon.
