As excitement grows for one of Australia’s largest agricultural events, the Henty Machinery Field Days has announced One Nation Leader, Senator Pauline Hanson, will officially open this year’s event.

Senator Hanson will join exhibitors, industry leaders, farmers, community representatives and visitors from across Australia at the official opening ceremony on Tuesday 22 September.

HMFD chief executive officer Belinda Anderson said Senator Hanson’s attendance highlighted the importance of the Henty Machinery Field Days as one of the nation’s largest and most influential agribusiness events.

“The Henty Machinery Field Days has long been recognised as a platform where industry, innovation and regional communities come together,” Ms Anderson said.

“We are delighted Senator Hanson has accepted our invitation to officially open this year’s event and look forward to welcoming her to Henty.”

Located in the Federal electorate of Farrer, the Henty Machinery Field Days is a significant event for the region and broader agricultural sector.

Ms Anderson said it was fitting Senator Hanson would be joined at the official opening by Farrer’s newly elected federal member, David Farley.

“As an event attracting visitors and exhibitors from right across Australia, we welcome the opportunity to showcase both our region and industry to Senator Hanson and Mr Farley,” she said.

“The recent Federal election result in Farrer has generated considerable interest across regional Australia, and we are pleased Mr Farley will be participating in the official opening alongside Senator Hanson.”

Held in the heart of southern NSW, the Henty Machinery Field Days attracts around 50,000 visitors annually and showcases more than 870 exhibitors across 105 hectares or purpose-built exhibition space.

Now regarded as southern Australia’s largest agricultural event, the field days features the latest in agricultural machinery, country lifestyle exhibits, government services, health providers and regional businesses.

The Henty Machinery Field Days will be held on 22-24 September, with more than 850 exhibitors already booked to attend.

Ms Anderson said the event continued to play a vital role in connecting producers, businesses and regional communities while generating significant economic benefits for the Riverina and surround regions.

“The field days remain an important meeting place for the agricultural sector and regional Australia.

“We look forward to showcasing the innovation, resilience and opportunities continuing to drive our industry forward.”
