Narrandera is preparing for a feast of global flavours and lively entertainment as the 2026 Narrandera International Food Fair returns on Sunday 16 August.

After a break in 2025, the event is back with renewed energy and a strengthened partnership between the CWA Narrandera Evening Branch and the Lions Club of Narrandera, which is co-hosting this year’s celebration.

The Food Fair will replace the Lions Club’s usual August market day, transforming Marie Bashir Park into a bustling hub of food, culture and community fun from 11am to 3pm.

Food lovers will be spoilt for choice, with cuisines representing Australia, Spain, Tibet, Fiji, the Philippines and China.

Local market stallholders have also embraced the event, ensuring a colourful spread of crafts, gifts, clothing, handmade items and unique merchandise.

Entertainment is set to be one of the day’s biggest drawcards. The program features a mix of music, dance and interactive performances designed to appeal to all ages. Visitors can enjoy:

• Remedy

• Narrandera East Infants School singing

• One Voice Choir

• Narrandera Ukulele Group

• Leeton Pipe Band

• Narrandera Public School dancers

• Solomon Islander Dancers

• Just Fling It Highland Dancers

• Cootamundra Bollywood Dancers workshop

Families will find plenty of free activities, including a jumping castle, face painting, yard games and active fun with Narrandera Fusion.

The Home Among the Gum Trees band will bring their participative musical act to the park, and the Narrandera Tennis Club will introduce visitors to pickleball – a fast-growing sport suitable for all ages.

The event is supported by Multicultural NSW’s Stronger Together Festivals and Events Grants Program, which helps communities celebrate cultural diversity.

Additional sponsorship has been provided by Stromlo Energy, Community Bank Narrandera and District (Bendigo Bank), Narrandera Shire Council and Manildra Group, whose donation ensures the return of the popular CWA cinnamon donut stall.

Organisers encourage residents and visitors to bring a picnic rug, gather friends and family and enjoy a relaxed day celebrating Narrandera’s multicultural spirit.

Updates and announcements will be shared on the CWA Narrandera Evening Branch and Lions Club of Narrandera Facebook pages.
