Narrandera Shire Council Local Emergency Management Committee were enlightened on the Devlins Bridge Wind Farm project at a presentation recently.
Amanda Vonarx and Roland Short from Stromlo gave a presentation to the committee regarding the proposed project in Narrandera.
The presentation focused around the accommodation strategy, utility needs and effect on the local economy.
The following point were discussed:
* Emergency plans - approximately 200-250 people on site during construction and about 20-30 people as part of the ongoing workforce once construction is complete.
* The project is aiming for an end of 2027 start and the representatives gave an assurance they would continue to work with the committee as they draft the EM plans.
