Narrandera’s Jake Myers was pumped to come away with the win at this year’s Riverina Thrashers’ Pro Burnout competition in Wagga Wagga last weekend.

Jake said the Wagga Wagga track was considered the local track, which made the win all the more special.

“Having events like this right here in our own backyard means a lot to us and the work that goes on behind the scenes to make it happen definitely doesn’t go unnoticed,” he said.

He credited his father for being a huge part of his success.

“From building the engine, tuning the car, working on S1CKO between rounds and constantly making sure everything is ready to go, to simply being my dad and having my back through it all. The amount of time, knowledge and effort he puts into this car and into helping me do what I love is something I’ll never take for granted. This win is just as much his as it is mine.,” he said.

“Another win for Team Myers and S1CKO. I don’t think people know what’s coming but it’s a new era of burnouts that’s all we can say.”
