Narrandera Shire Council is reminding motorists that the Mail Zone located in front of the new Post Office on East Street, Narrandera, is reserved exclusively for authorised postal vehicles and is not for general parking.

Council and Australia Post have observed a number of vehicles parking in this designated Mail Zone, with some motorists mistakenly believing the space is provided for customers visiting the Post Office.

Maintaining clear access to the Mail Zone is essential to ensure postal vehicles can safely and efficiently collect and deliver mail services to the community.

Following concerns raised by the Post Office, council compliance officers will increase monitoring of this location to help ensure the area remains available for its intended purpose.

Motorists are reminded that parking in a designated Mail Zone is an offence and may result in enforcement action.
