The Narrandera Shire Council has resolved to enter into a renewed licence agreement with Murrumbidgee Irrigation Limited for five-years to lease the tower space at 3 Ngurang Road Narrandera. The agreement starts 1 July 2026 and ends 30 June 2031; followed by one additional five-year option renewal commencing 1 July 2031 until 30 June 2036. In September 2011, Murrumbidgee Irrigation Limited was initially granted approval to occupy space on the communications tower and to occupy space within the adjacent communications hut for a period of five-years. A new licence agreement was subsequently negotiated for two five-year periods ending 30 June 2026. Not agreeing to the continued occupancy of this space by Murrumbidgee Irrigation Limited would have likely resulted in major disruption to the mobile communication network of the organisation and its customers.
