A 12-year-old boy allegedly had a knife tucked into his pants pocket when police stopped him and a 14-year-old boy who were walking the streets of Leeton just after midnight. Police allege the boys were both breaching their bail conditions when officers stopped them in Callrose Avenue shortly after midnight on Friday (23 October). A search of the younger boy allegedly uncovered the knife, a pair of gloves and a black balaclava. Both boys were arrested and taken to Leeton Police Station. The 12-year-old was charged with possessing a knife in a public place and breaching bail, while the 14-year-old was charged with breaching bail. Police refused bail for both boys, who appeared before the Parramatta Bail Division Children’s Court on Friday.
