Narrandera Shire Council invites residents and visitors to attend ANZAC Day services across the Shire on Saturday April 25 to honour and remember all those who have served and sacrificed for our nation.
Services will be held in Narrandera, Grong Grong and Barellan as follows:
Narrandera
5.50am: Dawn service at the Memorial Gardens, Victoria Square
7.00am: Breakfast at the Narrandera Ex-Servicemen’s Club
9.00am: War Graves service at the Narrandera Cemetery, Douglas Street
10.30am: ANZAC Day March assembles at the Narrandera Ex-Servicemen’s Club and steps off at 10.30am
11.00am: ANZAC Day Service at the Memorial Gardens, Victoria Square
Grong Grong
7.30am: Veterans and families march followed by a Light Horse procession to the Grong Grong Commemoration Hall
A service and morning tea will follow.
Barellan
2.50pm: ANZAC Day March assembles at the Barellan War Memorial Club, marching along Bendee and Boree Streets
3.00pm: Commemorative Service and wreath laying ceremony at the cenotaph outside the pool on Mulga Street.
Afternoon tea will follow at the Barellan War Memorial Club.
Council encourages all community members to join in these commemorations to pay their respects to the brave men and women who have served and continue to serve in our armed forces.
Grong Grong
The 2026 Grong Grong Community ANZAC Commemoration will take place at 8am Saturday 25 April at Grong Grong Commemorative Hall.
Marchers are asked to meet at The Grongy Store at 7.50am for the 8am March.
This year’s ceremony will honour Grong Grong soldiers:

• Charles Alfred Harris
• P C Hill
• Lesley Cyril Hogan.

Anyone who would like to commemorate the day by bringing a wreath, a flower or garland to place at the War Memorial Boards is very welcome to do so.
A plate to share with a cup of tea after the ceremony is always greatly appreciated.
LOCKHART SHIRE ANZAC DAY SERVICES
Lockhart Shire Council town will honour the courage, sacrifice and spirit of servicemen and women on ANZAC Day (April 25 2026) with events happening across the Shire.
Lockhart
9:00am: Dawn Service at the Lockhart Cemetery
10:20am: Form up outside Commercial Hotel Lockhart, ready to march
10:30am: March to the Cenotaph in Hebden Street
10:40am: ANZAC Service to Commence
Pleasant Hills
9:00am: Commemoration Service at Pleasant Hills Public Hall followed by Morning Tea
The Rock
6:00am: Dawn Service at Soldier Memorial, Urana Street, followed by Gun Fire Breakfast at The Rock Memorial Bowling Club
10:15am: Form up outside The Rock Memorial Bowling Club ready to march
10:30am: March to Cenotaph in Urana Street
Yerong Creek
10:45am: March departing from Delta Ag to Stanley Galvin Park
11:00am: ANZAC Service at Stanley Galvin Park
