Narrandera High School has officially announced its school captains and prefects for 2024.
Principal Tania Maddison said all the nominees had great leadership abilities.
“All the students who stood up in front of the assembly shared heartfelt and personable speeches but also showed that they had the ability to be a school leader,” Ms Maddison said.
The captains underwent a three step process of making a speech to their peers and then the top six went to a teachers vote where the final roles were decided.
Results were announced at a school assembly with Tahlia Gilbert and Madeline Fraser named as the 2024 school captains and Harvey Odgers and Zoe Hutchinson as the vice-captains.
Wesley Bamblett and Dean Chapel were chosen for the role of school prefects.
All six of the new leaders were carefully chosen and Ms Maddison believes they will be great leaders for the school.
“They are all outstanding young people who have very good leadership abilities and will work together well,” Ms Maddison said.
“They all have different strengths and when put together they will be great school leaders.”
