The handover of the Narrandera Argus to a new publisher has regrettably been delayed, meaning that in addition to extending the temporary break in print publication we will also cease uploading content to our website for the time being. Rest assured, however, the Argus will be back on a date to be announced as soon as contracts are signed and staffing is in place.

While it was hoped to continue online while the print edition was in recess, this is no longer possible and we sincerely apologise to our readers and supporters.

If you'd like your monthly digital subscription to remain active but would prefer any payments made during this transition period to be refunded, please email us and we'd be happy to oblige. Of course, no action is necessary if you want to continue supporting local journalism during these tough times for country newspapers – which we at the Argus greatly appreciate.

The Argus has always been dedicated to telling the local news stories that make this great community, where it is something of an icon as it celebrated 140 years of publishing last year.

With the continued support of readers and advertisers the Argus will embrace the necessary changes and continue its proud record of existence as part of Wilkie Watson Publications, an independent publisher of regional newspapers including the Tumut, Temora, Adelong and Gundagai mastheads.
