The Narrandera Indoor Stadium becomes‘The Castle’ once again this weekend, as Western Junior League Basketball returns to
Narrandera for Round 3 action.
The two U14G, U12B and U16B Narrandera Knights teams will play in Narrandera, with only the U14B travelling to Leeton.
The remainder of the split round fixtures will be played at venues in Bathurst and Lithgow.
All five Knights teams are in contention to play finals in Bathurst during May. Round 3 results will determine cut-offs and divisional groupings, so coaches will hone in on key focus areas at this week’s training sessions.
The U14 Girls ladder is tight! The Gold team is currently sharing number one position with Bathurst, and the top four placed teams are all within three points. U14 Girls Blue is in the mix, with only four points separating the remaining five teams.
With ten teams in the U12 Boys, the Knights youngsters are enjoying being alone in top spot thanks to their 6-1 win ratio. Currently sitting midway on the eleventeam ladder, the U14 Boys are only three points behind the ladder leaders.
U16 Boys are also midway on the ladder in a tight group, which includes Leeton and Griffith. Round 3 will be interesting!
The Round 3 weekend will be jam-packed in ‘The Castle’ as match start times are scheduled from 8am through to 7.45pm on Saturday, followed by another 8am ball-up on Sunday. All interested supporters and spectators are encouraged to come along to cheer on the Knights.
Players from the junior comp might also like to drop in to learn some techniques to help their own game.
