Not all bad news for Eagles

While it was another disappointing weekend for the Narrandera Eagles, there was some good news with the release of the RFL finals venues draw.

Narrandera Sportsground will be the venue for the Riverina Football League grand final, qualifying final and second
semi-final. Narrandera will host the grand final on Saturday September 23, the second semi-final on September 9 and the qualifying final on September 2. The Quinn Medal vote count and presentations will also be held at Narrandera at the Ex-servicemen’s Club on Tuesday night September 12.

However, Collingullie-Glenfield Park annihilated the Narrandera Eagles firsts with a 174-point win at the Narrandera Sportsground on Sunday. The Eagles are at the bottom of the ladder. The Demons proved far too good for the struggling
Eagles and dominated throughout the game to win 28.21 (189) to 2.3 (15).

Collingullie-Glenfield Park full-forward Marc Geppert bagged eight goals, while Jayden Klemke kicked five and dominated through the middle of the ground.

Collingullie also beat Narrandera Eagles in the reserve grade match 6.5, 11.7, 14.12, 16.16 (112) to Narrandera 1.1, 4.2, 4.3, 6.5 (41).
