NHS do well in Netball Cup

Narrandera High School Students represented their school at the NSW Schools Netball Cup.

One hundred Narrandera High School students travelled to Wagga to participate in the NSW Schools Netball Cup recently.

Narrandera High took ten teams that were entered in the Year 7/8 and 9/10 divisions.

For some students this was an opportunity to participate in a new sport with both competitive and non-competitive divisions offered.

All students performed well on the day and showed excellent sportsmanship and great determination with all teams securing a win.

The day also provided an opportunity for senior students to develop their leadership skills with each team being coached by Year 11 and 12 students. Thanks also to those students who umpired numerous games on the day.

The 7/8 girls in the competitive division finished second in their pool, one team from the NHS Year 8 boys made it through to the regional finals and the Year 9 boys finished first in their division undefeated.

The boys will progress to the regional finals later this year.
