Melbourne Renegades cricketer Dan Christian blasted the field in his “off-season training” at Narrandera’s Mother’s Day fundraiser run on Sunday.

Christian proved to be the fastest adult home over the 8km course around the town.

Hannah McDonald was the fastest under 15 girl, Wes Bamblett the fastest under 15 boy, Suz and Lucy Litchfield the best strava map, Lee Sweeney had the pinkest costume and Tracey Durnan the best adult costume.

Best kids costume went to Tempe Keating, while lucky draw winners were Helen Hopewell, Jack Hyde and Ruben Bamblett.

The Mother’s Day Breast Cancer Awareness and Research run/walk was organised by Alissa Bradford and Narrandera Bidgee Boxing, drew 53 participants and raised $576.30.

There was no set map for participants – they used a smart phone to map out their own track, and there was a staggered start to comply with social distancing rules.
