Florida’s metal disciples Trivium return with their fifth studio album, and things are more to the point this time. Their 2008 effort, Shogun, featured longer songs and an epic feel heavily influenced by late 80s thrash. In Waves features a more straight-up metalcore sound, similar to their 2005 breakout album Ascendancy.
