The Narrandera Hospital Auxiliary has received a Centenary Grant of $10,000.

The grant, which comes from the Commonwealth Bank and the CommBank Foundation, is one of 1000 grants delivered to community groups across Australia.

According to Narrandera Hospital Auxiliary president Pauline Hatherly, the Auxiliary plans to use it to benefit the youth of Narrandera.

“We are still trying to sort out the particulars of what we can spend it on,” Ms Hatherly said.

“But it will be for the care and comfort of young people, as well as all patients. We are looking at the possibility of medical equipment as well.”

The CommBank Foundation, formerly known as the Staff Community Fund, have been giving back to the community since Commonwealth Bank staff raised funds for the war effort in 1917.
